If you've recently begged your mother to remember your exact birth time, logged on to astro.com or alabe.com and calculated your birth chart (or not so recently), and have been trying to analyze a big bunch of symbols buried in a secret language to no avail, maybe it's time to start learning some of the basics of astrology.
This way you can start reading your own birth chart, opening up a whole Pandora's box of Knowledge of Self – and of course impress your friends by reading their charts too.
While researching ways to learn astrology, I stumbled upon a great article by Chris Brennan on how to get started, which I really think offers great advice.
I can tick off quite a few things on this list that I myself did when I first started to get interested in the subject.
*Find free articles, lessons and resources on the Internet, such as Cafe Astrology, Astrology Software, Astrology Weekly and Mountain Astrologer and dive right in. Tick.
*Bury your nose in a stack of beginner astrology books and don't stop reading. Tick.
*Follow your transits. Tick!
* Look for astrology meet-ups in your area. Tick. (Although, frustratingly, there might not be any in your area. In this case, online groups might be better.)
*Take some classes and attend a conference (only for the courageous beginners). Tick.
If you've been interested in astrology for a long time, but haven't really gone any further, why not take the plunge and start to master this ancient art. The desire will not go away – the old saying about "You do not choose astrology, it chooses you" is very true. Why not be one of the pioneers in Next Level thought, along with the many other alternative thinkers waking up in larger and larger numbers to the wisdom that astrology holds.
It is a beautiful subject.
